Welcome to Day 3 of the Little Prince Blog Hop. If you found your way from Jillian's blog you are at the right stop. If not, you may head back to the beginning to Home Spun Elegance so you don't miss any of the fabulous projects inspired by "Boys" today.

The inspiration for my project came from two precious boys Ryan and Kyle. Very recently they lost their father to cancer and they are currently dealing with this loss. I learned that one of the things that he loved to do with his family was take them to the beach.
I asked his wife, Debbie, if she could send me a photo of each of the
boys with their dad at the beach.
Below you can see what I did with these
photos.

This decorated frame came together with the help of the Cameo cutting machine. All of the letters were welded and cut as connected words, first in a dark blue color and then as a brown offset (shadow). Once the two colors were glued together, the edges were inked with a brown ink to pop the color a bit. The umbrella was drawn by hand and cut out on the Cameo as well.
The photo itself was double matted first with a tan color slightly bigger than the photo and then with a light blue to tie into the ocean theme. Once all the pieces were ready, the entire piece was assembled.

This decorated frame came together with the help of both the Cameo and the Cricut cutting machines. Once again all of the letters were welded and cut as connected words, this time in brown and then as a blue offset (shadow). Once the two colors were glued together, the edges were inked with a brown ink to pop the color a bit. The Paper Dolls Teen Scene Cricut cartridge (page 36) was used to cut out the beach ball.
The
photo itself was double matted first with a tan color slightly bigger
than the photo and then with a light blue to tie into the ocean theme. Once all the pieces were ready, the entire piece was assembled.
The shells were hot glued to the frame for the final touch. If you would like to make a project for this family I would appreciate it very much! They are the April recipients of the I Feel the Love Project. For more information on this cards for causes project, CLICK HERE.
