Kids creating for Kids!

Look at these precious scenes created by 8 year old Hayllee and 6 year old Lillie Kate from Texas!  How sweet is this!  We just love when kids create for kids.  Thank you so much for sending these in for the hospitalized children at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, the February 2014 recipients of the I Feel the Love Project.

Amazing News! Finally Official!

When we went to the mailbox today, we finally received the letter that we have been waiting for since August of 2012!  It is official, the I Feel the Love Project is now a tax exempt, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.  We are over the moon with this as it will now make it possible for us to start fundraising efforts with this status.

As you know, we have been sending handcrafted cards to individuals and groups since June of 2012.  It is our goal to be able to expand our efforts to include sending gift cards.  We would like to be able to send parents of hospitalized children to lunch, or help them with gas money... We also envision sending gift cards to others who are reeling from a natural disaster.

It would be much appreciated it you could spread the word. Perhaps you can share this information with friends on your social media sites. There may be individuals out there who may not participate by sending in a handcrafted card, but perhaps these same people would consider sending $5 to further our cause.

Thank you so much for all that you have done as
we continue to create for a cause!!

A Must Read! Beautiful ladies spreading the love!

When we opened our email today we discovered one of those emails that just warms your heart.  Back in October of 2013 you may remember that we sent Thanksgiving cards to the residents of Chancellor's Village.  This care facility has over 200 residents and we were able to send over 200 cards, making sure that each resident received one.

Well today, the amazing group of residents have decided to pay their gift forward by creating cards for our February 2014 project.   And that isn't all, starting this month they have scheduled a crafting session specifically to make cards for the I Feel the Love Project recipients!  How amazing are they?  Can we just say praise God for this selfless and fabulous group!!

One table of ladies from Chancellor's Village creating cards!

It looks like they are having a great time!

Here are a couple of the awesome cards that were made!

I don't know about you, but this inspired me to make more cards.  Is isn't too late to get involved. Please consider joining us his month as we make cards for the kids at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center.

Create for a Cause!

I wanted to start off the week by saying thank you again for all the cards that were sent in last month for Baylee.  Your generosity and talents are a blessing to us.

Today I want to share a card I just made for a child who is currently hospitalized at Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, the February recipient of the I Feel the Love Project cards.

This card is sending HUGS to one special child.  You can find the adorable cutting file, "Support," at Creative Kuts

http://www.creativekuts.com/Support-S1227.htm
As you can see, the original cutting file comes with two girls.  I edited the file using Photoshop just for this card. If you would like to be a part of this month's project:

Create for a Cause!

Cards for the kids...
Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center

For those of you who have been following the I Feel the Love Project for awhile, we are excited to announce that this month's I Feel the Love Project was chosen by Ms. Ashley Nelinger.

Ashley is the daughter of Reggie Nelinger, our May 2013 card recipient. Fifteen years ago, Ashley was diagnosed with Wilms', a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children. She beat the odds that were stacked against her despite losing one of her kidneys.  In January, 2013, Ashley was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer completely unrelated to the cancer she had as child. It is called rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive cancer of the connective tissues, which in Ashley’s case is attached to her sinus passage. Not only is this cancer a bit of a medical baffle due to its rare state, but Ashley only has one kidney and that makes chemo and other forms of treatment more challenging to treat than normal.

Ashley has a team of Angels known as "Angels for Ashley Nelinger" who continually pray for Ashley and spread the word about her story.  On the FaceBook page that they created, we first learned that Ashley, despite her own medical issues, wanted to be a part of helping others.  We contacted Ashley and asked if she would like to nominate someone to receive our cards so that she could be a part of spreading joy and love to others.  Ashley agreed and selected the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center, where she has herself received treatment.

Please join us this month as we create handcrafted greetings cards to send to the Pediatric Floor of Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center in Ashley's honor. If you would like to be a part of this month's project:
