Take a look at how Maddy is doing!

6-year-old Madelyn “Maddy” Gonzales, our I Feel the Love Project March 2014 card recipient looks like she is a fighter and in good spirits even though she is undergoing treatment for leukemia. 

Diagnosed in the fall of 2013 with acute lymphocytic leukemia, Maddy often travels with her family – mom, dad, and older sister – for treatments.  

As you will recall, the family had set out a donation jar to help pay for these trips and other medical costs.  Someone stole the jar off of a counter at a restaurant! We were saddened to hear about this and knew we wanted to do something to help brighten this sweet child's day!  An update to this story: the local police department finally found the jar.  Of course, all the money was gone but the police department decided to fill the jar with money!  How cool is that?
